A journey with people, not instead of them

Zornitsa Stoichkova

For 25 years, Zornitsa has been working at the Health and Social Development Foundation, dedicating her heart and energy to supporting Roma communities in Bulgaria. For her, being a good social worker means much more than professionalism – it is a calling that requires deep empathy, mutual trust and true human understanding. But most of all – love and unconditional acceptance of people as they are.

As a professional and a person, Zornitsa exudes calm, strength, and resilience. With an open heart, she talks about the challenges that Roma women often face – but also about the joy and opportunities that open up when one moves forward with perseverance, support, and faith in goodness.

The story was made possible with the financial support of the National Culture Fund.
