Tonka Platchkova narrates and shows to us how a traditional Bulgarian martenitsa is being made. She also shares some own ideas and special crafts in the living art of the martenitsa making. We move to the center of Kyustendil where she, and many other men and women, show their own martenitsas on improvised shelves. All of them expect Baba Marta (the celebration of the coming spring on 1st of March) to give them a good healt and abundance, as well as little financial aid to their families and themselves.
