About the journey from Togo to Munich and the meaning of vodun(voodoo)

Robert (Koffo) Ahiagba

In the Ewe language, Friday is called "fidagbe", and boys born on it are most often named Kofi (Kofe, Kofo). Koffo Ahiagba - Robert was born in the capital of Togo, the city of Lome in the family of a policeman. Today he owns the only West African restaurant in Munich, on the wall of which, directly opposite the front door, hangs a portrait of his father and an advertising calendar. Robert was a rugby champion in his youth, and the calendar features him holding a bottle of refreshing passion fruit soft drink. "Every family in Togo had this calendar on their wall, I used to be really big at rugby," he says.

The story was realized with the support of the National Fund "Culture" under the "Program for the restoration and development of private cultural organizations".
