In the years of the WW1 the young lad Dimitar Georgiev Saranedelchev works on a prototype of a machine gun that is far more effective and deadly than the German machine guns. The time spent in the trenches and the encounters there however change his values and beliefs forever. He adopts the ideas of Tolstoysm, preaching nonviolence and tolerance. Dimitar stops his work on the machine gun and invests all his soul and talents in the creation of the string instruments, branded Bulgarian Cremona, that put the foundation of a big factory bearing that name. His home was an attractive place for both children and adult people, where kids yearned to touch his mandolins and violins, and the intellectual elite of Kazanlak, incl. Ivan Milev, Dechko Uzunov, Petko Staynov, Chudomir, etc. shared big ideas and artistic inspiration.
